I grew up in Costa Rica and studied Industrial Design in Italy at the Polytechnic of Turin. I continued my education at the European Institute of Design with a scholarship for a Master’s in Industrial Design.

My career has taken me across Latin America, Europe, and the USA, working in roles spanning industrial, interaction, UX, and product design. I began designing sustainable products and smart meters at Experientia, a design consultancy in Italy. I then spent 11 years in New York City, working at R/GA and frog, and nearly five years at Spotify on the Creator team. I led design for the Equity team at Instagram, focusing on uncovering and addressing systemic inequities on the platform.

Before joining Glassdoor, I was Head of Design at New_ Public, a tech nonprofit where I led the Community Lab—a cross-functional team of researchers, engineers, and designers exploring how to build healthier, more human digital public spaces. Our work reimagined what social media could be if it prioritized connection, civic trust, and collective well-being over engagement metrics.

Now, I’m the Director of Product Design at Glassdoor, where I lead design for Community and AI initiatives—reimagining how people connect, share, and navigate their work lives through responsible and human-centered design.

I’m an empathic design leader who believes the internet belongs to everyone—and that we, as designers, have a responsibility to create experiences that are not only delightful but also inclusive and safe for people far beyond the happy path.

My family and I left Brooklyn during the pandemic, and I’m currently based in Nashville.
