I grew up in Costa Rica and studied Industrial Design in Italy at the Polytechnic of Turin. I continued my education at the European Institute of Design with a scholarship for a Master’s in Industrial Design for Extreme Sports.

My career has taken me across Latin America, Europe and the USA working in a series of roles like industrial, interaction, UX, and product design. I spent the beginning of my career designing sustainable products and smart meters at Experientia, a design consultancy in Italy. I lived in New York City for 11 years where I spent some time at R/GA and frog, and nearly 5 years at Spotify working in the Creator team. Most recently, I led design for the Equity team at Instagram, taking a critical eye on the root causes of inequity on our platform.

I’m an empathic design leader and I believe the internet belongs to everyone and we, as designers, have a duty to design safe and responsible experiences that are not just delightful for a handful of users who can enjoy the happy paths.

My family and I left Brooklyn during the pandemic and currently I’m based out of Nashville.
